The chairman of YBN Lo Wing Yat and the mayor of Jilin Zhao Jingbo attended the signing ceremony of planting and precision deep processing organic rice held in Jiangcheng in June 15th, 2012.
The CITIC YBN Capital Limited belongs to the Citic group which is a well-known large-scale multinational enterprise and has great influence. On the other hand, as the only agriculture area among the 10 areas of Jilin city, the China-Singapore food area is aiming at become a first rate demonstration region of safe food production and modern agriculture, as with the goal of being demonstration region of co-ordinate development of “Industrialization, Urbanization and Agricultural Modernization” and first development in Changchun-Jilin-Tumen district.
The two parties signed project of planting 3000 hectares organic rice and precision deep processing related products. The project tends to be located in the starting location of the food area. It plans to go through the earlier stage of land acquisition of 50,000 tons rice precision deep process, and start seeding from next spring. The base will upgrade to organic rice base before the end of 2015. This project will plant quality rice and do precision deep process by organic agriculture standards, building the whole industry chain from field to table.
Zhao Jingbo said the Jilin city is planning to build the China-Singapore food area into a world class safe and healthy food production and demonstration area. The investment in planting and precision deep processing organic rice is significant to promote the developing of the area.
The ceremony is hosted by the deputy mayor of Jilin City Wang Zhihou. The cooperation agreement is signed by Li Changshan who is the county party secretary of Yongji County and the management committee chairman of food area and the chairman of YBN Lo Wing Yat, on behalf of both sides.
